APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Applications will be accepted in three categories:

1. Strategic Occupations

To qualify under the strategic occupations category, a prospective nominee must:

  • Have a guaranteed job offer from an employer in British Columbia, in an occupation experiencing a critical labour market shortage;
     
  • Confirm the eligibility of a publicly funded occupation prior to applying to the BC PNP. Please contact the BC PNP office regarding the eligibility of a publicly funded job offer, only certain occupations are eligible;
     
  • Not be a business owner. A prospective nominee will only be considered an employee if the percentage of ownership in the company is less than 50%
     
  • Have valid immigration status if living in or visiting Canada. Without valid immigration status, a prospective nominee is in violation of the federal Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
     
  • Overview of the BC PNP
     
  • BC PNP private sector priorities.
     
  • Health Match BC - Foreign trained nurses wishing to learn more about job opportunities in B.C.
