Subjects which are prerequisites for admission to specific programs must be at the Higher level with a minimum grade of 5. Where there are more than 3 prerequisite subjects specified, courses at the Standard level with grades of 6 or 7 will be accepted. For Engineering, Higher level Mathematics and Physics are recommended. APPLICATION DEADLINES

Applications from outside Canada will be considered on an ongoing basis throughout the year. For admission decisions to be made in time for you to arrange for a visa, etc., your application and all required and supporting documents must be submitted at least three months before the beginning of classes for the term you wish to apply for. For the term beginning September, the deadline is five months before the beginning of classes because most admission decisions for that term are made in May. The deadlines are as follows: October 31st for the term beginning January, February 28th for the term beginning May, and March 30th for the term beginning September. Exceptions are Optometry--January 31st , and Social Work--January 15th for the fall term.

If we receive your application and supporting documents after the deadline, we’ll keep them for six months in case you let us know in writing that you wish to apply for a later term.

SUBMITTING DOCUMENTS

After you apply, we’ll send you an acknowledgment of your application and advise you about the documents we require.

To speed up the application process, if your documents are not in English, they must be accompanied by a notarized literal translation. We also strongly suggest that you find out from the local Canadian Embassy or High Commission how to apply for a student visa and how long the process will take.
