PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION

OCAD is Canada’s oldest and largest Art & Design College. Its central location in downtown Toronto provides many rich experiences and resources for the 2500 member student population. The College confers an Associate of the Ontario College of Art & Design (Fine Art or Design) on graduates from its many four year programs. Our partnership with the Open University now affords all OCAD students the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Art or a Bachelor of Design degree. OCAD has no graduate programs. You may only apply to one faculty at the College. A visual arts education at OCAD should begin with the Visual Foundation Studies program. The primary criterion for acceptance into OCAD is a portfolio assessment. For further clarification please contact the Admissions office. The deadline for applications is March 2, 2001. Although OCAD does not provide student residences, a housing referral service is available to admitted students. A non-refundable supplemental evaluation fee of $50 is required to process each application.
