INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS With international students from over 100 countries studying at Carleton University, the University prides itself in the rich diversity of its student body. DEADLINES FOR APPLICATION Students whose documents originate from outside Canada or the United States must apply by April 1 (except for Architectural Studies, Humanities, Music and Social Work). SEMESTER ENTRY POINTS Full-time and part-time entry in September and January. Not all programs are available in January. Part-time entry in May and July. Not all programs are available in the Summer session. ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS All students whose first language is not English and who have not studied English during the last three years (full-time) in a high-school, college or university in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom or any other country in which the primary language is English and where the language of instruction in the relevant educational institution was exclusively English; must take the Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL) assessment administered by the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies or, present a TOEFL score of 580 or better (237 on the computer based test).
