The International lounge includes computer stations for the exclusive use of international students. Moslem students will appreciate the regular prayer schedule times reserved for them at the Rita Welch Meditation Centre in the centre of campus. Contact by e-mail: gpowell@spartan.ac.brocku.ca

ENTRY POINTS

September, January, May, July: Faculties of Applied Health Sciences, Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics & Science. Course selection may be limited for entry points other than September.

September only: Faculty of Education

ADMISSION

The deadline for submitting your application and all official transcripts of grades is June 1 for September admission. The documentation and transcripts that you send must be official copies and include notarized English translations if they are in a language other than English.

Most program admissions are based solely on grades. Programs in Music and Theatre also require an audition, and Visual Arts requires a Portfolio submission.

Applicants for whom English is a second language can meet Brock’s language entry requirement in any of the following ways:

I. 70% in English OAC;

II. 3 years full-time study with satisfactory standing in an English language school;

III. test score on one of: TOEFL 550, TOEFL CBT 213, MELAB 85, IELTS 6.5;

IV. Carleton CAEL–regular placement;

V. York YELT–overall category of 1 or 2;

VI. International Baccalaureate Diploma from English language school.

INTENSIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM

If you do not meet the above English Language requirements, Brock offers an excellent English as a Second Language Program (IELP) on campus. A level 5 completion in Brock’s IELP meets this requirement. For more information on Brock’s IELP, see the International section on www.brocku.ca, or contact by e-mail: jcleland@spartan.ac.brocku.ca

CANADIAN IMMIGRATION REGULATIONS FOR HIGHER STUDIES IN CANADA

To study a degree program in Canada, you must apply to your local Canadian Embassy for a Student Authorization Visa before you come. The Canadian Embassy will require that you provide your official letter of admission from Brock and that you show you have adequate financial means for your stay in Canada.
