HIGHER STUDIES IN CANADA - IMPORTANT DATES

Fall 2005

• Applications may be submitted to OCAS as soon as they are available.

The application is available in October.

February 1, 2006

• Applications received at OCAS on or before this date will be given equal consideration by the colleges. OCAS does not process paper applications based on the postmarked date.

Note: Website volume is highest on this date, so don’t wait until the last day to apply for higher studies in Canada.

• This is not a deadline for submitting applications to OCAS. After this date, applications are still processed, but are considered by the colleges on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Earliest admission offer date for applicants not currently attending high school.

March 31, 2006

• Earliest admission offer date for high school applicants.

• Offers of admission will continue to be issued until programs are filled or wait-lists are established.

• Students who do not have the entrance requirements may be notified at any time during the admission process that they do not qualify for admission.

May 15, 2006

• By this date, applicants must confirm their acceptance of an offer of admission to their chosen college through OCAS for higher studies in Canada.

• After this date, colleges will determine the date the confirmation is due.

June 15, 2006

• Earliest date that colleges can require payment of tuition fees.
